Google is touting the new way to communicate: using Google Wave. Supposed to be Email if it was invented now rather than 40 years ago. Seems to be some kind of Wiki-bulletin-facebook-email-thingy-ma-jig.
One of the diagrams in the youtube clip below displays loads of different logos of all web based companies, and the explanation is somthing like "we took heed of all the other social networking companies and every other social website and created one big durge of all of them." One great big steaming pile of them all mixed into one in a blender.
Aparently you can see in real time, and if you missed it, replay how the data was entered into the pages, making for many hilarious office situations where "rob is a nob" is clearly typed in before being deleted then replaced with "achieving maximum blah-dee-blah..."
Sounds great. Looks interesting, but unfortunately invites only at the moment so yours truely wasn't able to get in and start hammering with large wooden mallets.
